I proposed to Haley on an Oregon coast as the sun was setting and the fog rolling in, all while my camera was clicking away dutifully.  So happy to be with the one I love :).

Congratulations! I stumbled on to your flickr stream and this website about 2 weeks ago and was really disappointed to see it looked like you had let the blog lapse. It’s a great blog, keep it up. And congratulations, I can’t believe you took the time to set up a camera to capture your engagement. I was barely able to utter the correct words much less work an electronic machine when I asked my wife about 25 years ago… Wishing you the best.

Hey Kurt – thanks for the kind words – that really means a lot and is very motivating! I hear ya about the blog lapsing thing, work got in the way for a while. I’m sure you know how it is after a long day, the last thing you want to do is spend another 2 hours typing a blog post :P.

I had the camera thing planned for months, and was so afraid I’d mess up a setting or miss something. I actually practiced one day to ensure that I had everything squared away, if you’ll believe it. I actually found out that it’s not possible on Canon cameras (AFAIK) to set a delay on an intervalometer and have the camera go in burst mode for a period of time. I had to settle for 1 shot every second (controlled by my handy ebay unit), which seems to have worked pretty well!

Thanks again for the comment! I’ll be sure to check out your blog :).
